明朝有一軍士，姓阿，對其妻甚好，妻有所言不敢不從。

一日，其長官命阿接待桂國來使，來使皆為富人，長官允諾此事若成必有重賞。

阿軍士聞之大喜，即去籌備接待事宜，阿忽想起若是妻有所命，恐誤其大事。
