[請問] 伊斯蘭國的「斬首」之刑

看維基百科，說「伊斯蘭國」殺俘所用的「斬首」之刑，是依古法而來；
順便查了「怛羅斯之戰」條目，唐軍被俘者有的也被施以「斬首」之刑。

究竟「斬首」之刑，是用刀瞬間把頭砍斷，還是以刀用「割鋸」的方式將人身首分離？
