從2005年舉辦亞洲職棒大賽（2009、2010年除外）以來，比賽時間都是在11月中旬居多，
唯獨只有一次於11月底(11/25∼29)舉行，而且是在2011年。主要原因是當時日本發生311
東北大地震的影響，也讓日本職棒的例行賽延後一個月開打，連帶的季後賽也延後到11月
初舉行。
