位於新北市北投區的竹子湖海拔670公尺，竹子湖位居大屯山、七星山與小觀音山之間的谷地，以種植蓬萊米著名，在民國58年時引進白色海芋，近年來每年皆會舉辦竹子湖海芋季，2014年海芋季以「Dream，海芋．夢田」為主題，活動3月8日開始；海芋賞花期為每年3至5月底。
